The most notable change is at the ₹299 price point. Airtel has removed the plan, which offered 1.5GB of data per day, and the next available option is now the ₹349 pack, a 16% increase. The ₹349 plan offers 2GB of data per day for 28 days.
Airtel has also eliminated the ₹249 and ₹299 mid-tier options, narrowing the number of price points available to prepaid customers. The entry-level plan, however, remains unchanged at ₹199 for 28 days with 2GB of data, while the next option is ₹219 for 28 days with 3GB of data, sources added.
The changes are selective rather than a blanket tariff revision, with the next available plans across the affected categories representing 5-16% higher prices.
The move comes days after Airtel reported a strong June quarter, with revenue and EBITDA beating Street expectations. For the quarter ended June 2026, consolidated revenue rose 5.7% sequentially to ₹58,539 crore, ahead of the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹57,054 crore.

EBITDA increased 4.8% quarter-on-quarter to ₹33,599 crore, also ahead of the ₹32,568-crore poll estimate. EBITDA margin stood at 57.4%, compared with the Street estimate of 57.1% and 57.8% in the previous quarter.
The company continued to see momentum across its India and Africa businesses, alongside growth in premium mobile subscribers and broadband customers.Shares of Bharti Airtel Ltd closed at ₹1,917.50 on the NSE, up 0.12% today.
