Under the contract, the company will serve as one of the Card Approver Agencies responsible for verifying and approving beneficiary applications for Ayushman Bharat health cards and applications from senior citizens aged 70 years and above for Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards through the NHA’s digital platform.
According to the company, the initiative is expected to cover around 8.5 crore beneficiaries across West Bengal and is aimed at strengthening the delivery of health cards and improving access to government healthcare services for eligible citizens.
BLS International said it will support the programme through its digital service delivery and citizen service infrastructure. However, the company did not disclose the financial value or duration of the contract.
Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana is the Centre’s flagship health insurance scheme, while Ayushman Vay Vandana extends health coverage to eligible senior citizens aged 70 years and above.
BLS International provides technology-enabled citizen services, including visa, consular, passport and e-governance solutions, and has been expanding its presence in public service delivery projects in India and overseas.
