Diljit Dosanjh-starrer ‘Satluj’ has made its way on piracy platforms just hours after it was removed from the streaming platform ZEE5 India.The biographical drama, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, was taken down just hours after its OTT release in India ‘until further notice’, prompting outrage among fans. Soon after the streaming platform made the official announcement about the film’s removal from its site, fans took to social media to share that pirated versions of the film had become available online for illegal download and streaming.

Several users took to their social media handles to share screenshots of the film now available in various HD formats on various pirated websites. Some even resorted to actively sharing the link of the pirated versions of the film, encouraging fans to watch the film.

Prior to its takedown, Dilji, in a live chat with fans, was asked about the possibility of his movie being removed after its streaming release. Reacting to the same, the actor brushed it off saying, “Hun tension nai, sab ne kar layi download,” before adding, “Main tension free baitha.”The actor even insisted that he had no qualms over the film possibly leaking on pirated websites. “Today is Saturday. I feel it could be taken down by Monday. But no worries, you download it,” Diljit said in a video chat with fans.

Announcing the film’s removal from their streaming site, ZEE5 said, “In light of the current developments, Satluj will be unavailable in India until further notice. We remain committed to exploring every appropriate avenue through due process to bring the film back to our audiences at the earliest opportunity.”Directed by Honey Trehan, ‘Satluj’ also stars Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder Vicky and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan.
