The service, introduced in partnership with PayU Finance, is available across Flipkart, Myntra and Flipkart Minutes.
Customers can choose from three repayment options at checkout: a Pay Later facility with up to 30 days to repay eligible purchases, a Pay in 3 option that splits payments into three instalments, and EMIs ranging from three to 12 months for higher-value purchases such as mobiles, electronics, appliances and furniture.
According to the company, the credit offering is designed for both everyday purchases and higher-ticket transactions. It will also be available for categories including fashion, home, beauty and general merchandise.
PayU Finance, the non-banking finance company (NBFC) arm of PayU, is the first lending partner for the programme and will act as the licensed lender. Flipkart Finance will manage customer relationships and use commerce data to support credit assessment. The company said it plans to onboard additional lending partners as the programme expands.
Flipkart said credit decisions will be based on factors such as transaction history, purchase behaviour and other platform signals, along with PayU Finance’s lending and risk management processes. It added that multiple data sources will be used to assess customer eligibility with the aim of extending credit responsibly.
The launch comes as e-commerce platforms integrate financing options into the checkout process to offer consumers more flexible payment choices for online purchases.
