GFF 2026: MobiKwik users can now access six currencies digitally for overseas needs

MobiKwik has expanded its digital foreign exchange offering from one to six currencies, allowing users to access forex for overseas travel, education and other eligible requirements through its app.

The company, which launched its FX Retail service with US dollars at the Global Fintech Fest in 2025, has now added the UAE dirham (AED), Canadian dollar (CAD), British pound (GBP), euro (EUR) and Swiss franc (CHF).

Through the expanded service, customers can digitally book foreign currency, top up forex cards and remit funds overseas. Currency notes can be collected through branches, while remittances can be processed through bank redirection and branch channels.

The service is powered by NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL) in collaboration with the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIL) and is available through the Bharat Connect ecosystem.

MobiKwik said the service provides live bank-linked pricing. Customers can also access same-day fulfilment, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and service conditions.

The offering is available to resident individuals, subject to PAN and primary-account-holder validation. The transaction limit is up to $3,000 equivalent per transaction for currency notes and up to $10,000 equivalent per transaction for card and remittance services. Equivalent limits apply across the other supported currencies.

The expansion comes as more payment and fintech platforms add digital foreign exchange services alongside their existing payments offerings. For users, the service brings currency purchase, forex card top-ups and overseas remittances into a single digital platform.MobiKwik said the expansion of its FX Retail service follows growth in forex transactions on the Bharat Connect platform. According to the company, NBBL processed forex transactions worth ₹11.19 crore during the first four months of FY2026-27.

The company first introduced its FX Retail offering at GFF 2025, initially allowing users to transact in US dollars. The latest expansion takes the number of supported currencies to six.
