The 40,000 sq ft facility, including 25,000 sq ft of Class 10K and Class 1K cleanrooms, will offer end-to-end post-silicon engineering, advanced testing and failure analysis, HCLTech said.
The lab is equipped with tools from Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix and Thermo Fisher Scientific and will support research and development, pre-production and production qualification. The company said the facility is aimed at enabling faster turnaround, improving quality and reducing complexity for global customers.
What the semiconductor lab will offer
Aligned with HCLTech’s Spec2Parts business model, the facility will bring together electrical validation, automated testing, qualification and failure analysis on a single platform. This is intended to streamline the process from design specifications to finished semiconductor parts.HCLTech said the facility will cater to both domestic and international markets and is expected to strengthen its ability to provide semiconductor solutions from India.
The company also said the facility is set to achieve global certifications, including ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 9100 (Mil-Aero) and ISO 13485 (Medical). Its cleanroom includes automated test equipment, testers, probes, qualification chambers and failure-analysis tools such as optical and electron microscopy and focused ion beam systems.

He added that the facility reflects the company’s investment in high-end engineering capabilities and its commitment to India’s ambition of becoming a global hub for advanced technology.
HCLTech said it has two decades of semiconductor expertise and that the new facility marks a step towards offering integrated semiconductor testing capabilities among technology service providers.
The company has more than 223,000 employees across 60 countries, with consolidated revenue of $14.8 billion for the 12 months ended June 2026.Following the announcement, shares of HCLTech closed about 0.5% lower at ₹1,276.80 on Tuesday. The stock has declined around 22% so far in 2026.
