JNU PG admission 2026 revised schedule released; first merit list to be released on June 25


Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released a revised admission schedule for Postgraduate (PG) and Advanced Diploma of Proficiency (ADOP) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.As per the updated timeline, the first merit list for admission will now be published on June 25, 2026. The admission process will continue until August 10, 2026.Candidates whose names appear in the first merit list will have to complete pre-enrolment registration and fee payment within the prescribed dates to confirm their seats.

JNU has announced the following important dates for PG and ADOP admissions:

How to check JNU PG, ADOP first merit list 2026

Candidates can follow these steps once the merit list is released:

  • Visit the official JNU website.
  • Go to the Admissions section on the homepage.
  • Open the PG Admissions 2026-27 or ADOP Admissions 2026-27 portal.
  • Click on the “First Merit List 2026” link.
  • The merit list PDF will appear on the screen.
  • Search for your application number or name in the list.
  • Download and save the merit list for future reference.

What after the first merit list?

Candidates selected in the first admission list will be required to complete pre-enrolment registration and pay the admission fee between June 25 and June 27.The university has stated that this process is mandatory for candidates who wish to secure the seats allotted to them.After the first round, JNU will release the second merit list on July 3, followed by the final admission list on July 31. The admission process for the 2026-27 academic session will conclude on August 10.Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official JNU website for the latest admission-related updates and announcements.
