LTTS launches AI platform to help industries digitise engineering data

L&T Technology Services(LTTS) on Tuesday, June 30, launched Ainfonix 4.0, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to help process industry companies convert engineering documents and technical records into structured digital data.

The company said the engineering intelligence platform is aimed at addressing a longstanding challenge for industrial enterprises, where engineering knowledge is often stored across fragmented drawings, specifications and technical documents, making it difficult to use for AI, automation and digital transformation initiatives.

According to LTTS, Ainfonix 4.0 transforms engineering artefacts and multi-modal data into structured, asset-linked information that can be searched, governed and reused across engineering, operations and maintenance. The platform combines AI-powered data extraction with human validation to improve data quality and traceability.

The company said early deployments of the platform have achieved up to 85% accuracy in technical data extraction, reduced artefact retrieval and review times by 30% to 50%, and provided audit-ready traceability.

Commenting on the challenges of disconnected engineering systems, Amit Chadha, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of LTTS, said, “Ainfonix 4.0 helps bridge that gap by transforming engineering information into structured, asset-linked intelligence that can be used across the asset lifecycle—from engineering and project execution to operations and maintenance.”

Chadha added that the company believes trusted engineering data will become “a critical competitive advantage” as organisations expand the use of AI across industrial operations.

Shares of the company closed 0.33% higher at ₹3,140 on the NSE on Tuesday.
