Max Healthcare Q1 results: Revenue, EBITDA rise 15% each; Margins at 24.8%


Shares of Max Healthcare Institute gained on Thursday, August 13, after the company reported its first quarter earnings.

Its net profit was up 3% at ₹357 crore from ₹345 crore last year.

The company’s revenue increased 15.2% from ₹2,835 crore from ₹2,460 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company’s earnings before interest taxes depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 15% to ₹704 crore from ₹613 crore in the first quarter of the previous fiscal.

Its margins contracted marginally to 24.8% from 24.9% in the year-ago period.

Max Health’s board of directors also approved capital expenditure of ₹425 crore to set up an additional hospital block. The company said its board has given in-principle nod to set up medical colleges/medical institutions.

Max Health shares were trading 1.4% up at ₹1,0216 apiece at 2.50 pm on Thursday. The stock has fallen 8.1% in the past month and is down 3.1% this year, so far.Also Read: Ipca Labs shares rise up to 8% after Q1 results — Net profit rises 72.5%, EBITDA up 60.8%
