The fund, officially introduced on July 1, will be available during a new fund offer period until July 13, at an initial net asset value (NAV) of ₹10 per unit. Customers can invest through PNB MetLife’s website and the online insurance marketplace Policybazaar.
The Enhanced Value Index Fund follows a passive investment strategy linked to the BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index (Customised). The strategy is designed to identify 50 companies considered attractively valued based on parameters such as book-to-price, earnings-to-price, and sales-to-price ratios.
According to the insurer, the fund is intended for investors looking for long-term capital appreciation through disciplined investing while also retaining the protection component available under ULIPs.
The company said the launch reflects increasing demand among Indian consumers for financial products that combine market participation with insurance coverage and long-term financial planning objectives.
The fund provides diversified exposure across sectors including financial services, energy, commodities, and consumer businesses.
PNB MetLife said the rule-based methodology is intended to reduce emotional investment decisions and encourage investors to remain invested through market cycles.

Sanjay Kumar, Chief Investment Officer at PNB MetLife, said the fund is designed around a systematic value-investing framework focused on companies with strong fundamentals and relatively attractive valuations. He added that the offering seeks to align long-term investment goals with insurance protection available through ULIPs.
ULIPs are hybrid financial products that combine life insurance coverage with market-linked investments. Returns depend on the performance of the underlying funds selected by policyholders, and investors typically use them for long-term goals such as retirement planning and wealth accumulation.
