Oracle Financial Services shares jump 4% after profit, operating income doubles in Q1


Shares of Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. (OFSS) gained as much as 4% on Thursday, July 23, as the stock will react to its June quarter results that were reported after market hours on Wednesday.

Oracle Financial is the only stock on the Nifty IT index that is trading with gains on a year-to-date basis.

For the June quarter, Oracle Financial Services reported revenue of ₹3,125.2 crore, which is 68.7% higher than the previous year’s figure of ₹1,852.2 crore. Even on a sequential basis, the company’s topline is 51.3% higher.

The company’s Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) more than doubled from last year, gaining 122% to ₹1,876.1 crore. EBITDA margin for the quarter also expanded by nearly 15 percentage points to 60% from 45.7% last year.

Net profit for the period also grew over 100%, rising to ₹1,415.7 crore from ₹642 crore a year earlier, registering a 120% growth.

Growth was led by the core products business, whose revenue grew by 75% on a year-on-year basis to ₹2,936 crore. The products business contributes to majority of the company’s topline.

Within the products business, License and Cloud Fees contributed to 44% of the total revenue from 16% last year, while the share of maintenance fees came down to 20% from 30% last year. The share of consulting fees also dropped to 30% from 45% in the year-ago period.

Services business revenue grew by 6% from last year to ₹189 crore. Remaining performance obligations, which represent the total value of signed contracts not recognized yet as revenue, also grew by 16% from last year to ₹7,345 crore.

There have also been some changes to the top management at the company.

In its post-earnings statement, OFSS stated that Makrand Padalkar has quit as MD & CEO and July 23 will be his last day in charge. However, he will continue with the company for a few more months, assisting a smooth transition.

Avadhut (Vinay) Ketkar, currently the CFO as OFSS, has been appointed Additional Director and designated as the new MD & CEO of the company from July 24. Chief Accounting Officer Manish Bhandari will take over as the new CFO.

OFSS highlighted that one of the largest vacation ownership companies in the US entered into an agreement for the company’s lending and leasing cloud software. The deployment will support the said company’s digital transformation initiatives.

Shares of Oracle Financial Services gained 4.1% on Thursday to ₹11,299. The stock was the worst Nifty 500 performer on Wednesday with a 7.5% fall. Despite the fall on Wednesday, the stock is still up 40% so far in 2026 and is the only Nifty IT constituent trading with year-to-date gains.
