RVNL bags ₹164 crore railway signalling order from East Coast Railway


Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd said on Wednesday, May 20, it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a railway signalling and infrastructure project awarded by the East Coast Railway, valued at about ₹164.19 crore.

The project involves the provision of MSDAC systems aimed at improving reliability in the automatic block signalling (ABS) section between MZY and KUR stations under the Khurda Road division of East Coast Railway, the company said in an exchange filing.

The scope of work also includes alterations in electronic interlocking systems across multiple stations, involving signalling systems supplied by companies including Hitachi Rail STS India, Siemens Mobility India and Medha Servo Drives.

According to the filing, the domestic contract is scheduled to be executed over a period of 18 months.

RVNL said the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and clarified that neither the promoter group nor related parties have any interest in the awarding entity. The company also stated that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.

Shares of RVNL ended marginally lower on Wednesday, May 20, by 0.63% at ₹269.85 on the NSE.
