Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty aims to close week in green as index fights 100-point deficit

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty Futures hint at a positive start as index looks to stem further losses

The markets return to the street for the last day of today’s trade this week, and the scene seems all set for a showdown between the bulls and bears with the bears holding the slight edge. The Nifty 50 index is trailing by just over 100 points as of Friday’s session.

In Thursday’s expiry session, the sectoral performance remained mixed. Realty, FMCG and Consumer Durables were the top-performing sectors, while Metal, Financial Services and Oil & Gas came under pressure.

As the earnings season comes to a close, markets will now look at macro factors, with the conflict in the Persian Gulf and the stalemate there holding a potential to induce volatility.

The US markets have largely remained calm and or lukewarm this week, and a sign of the same was seen on Thursday as well

As clutter remains the theme of the US-Iran conflict, crude oil remains another key variable, as the price of Brent crude remains stubbornly around the $90 mark.

Furthermore, results remain in focus for the last day, and stocks that will react to their results include Tata Motors PV, LG Electronics, Honasa Consumer, Max Fin Services and more.

Today is another important day in terms of earnings, some of the companies announcing their results, include Ashok Leyland, Alkum Labs, Bharat Dynamics, Cochin Shipyard, EaseMyTrip among others
