Stocks to watch today, July 10: Indian stocks are expected to remain in focus during Friday’s trading session as investors react to first-quarter earnings, corporate expansion plans, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, fundraising activities and key business updates announced by companies across the information technology, metals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy and industrial sectors.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

Q1 Profit and Revenue Rise

Q1 profit rose 4.6 per cent to Rs 13,349 crore from Rs 12,760 crore. Revenue jumped 13.9 per cent to Rs 72,275 crore compared with Rs 63,437 crore in the corresponding period.

Strong Q1 Earnings Growth

Q1 profit zoomed 73.6 per cent to Rs 163 crore from Rs 93.9 crore. Revenue increased 17.5 per cent to Rs 322 crore compared with Rs 274 crore in the corresponding period.

SAIL

Bokaro Plant to Receive Iron Ore

SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant is set to receive 8.3 million tonnes of iron ore annually directly from SAIL mines through a modern slurry pipeline system.

Aastha Spintex Ltd, a Gujarat-based integrated cotton yarn manufacturer, announced the acquisition of Falcon Yarns to significantly expand manufacturing capacity and strengthen its growth plans.

JV with Vivo Mobile India

Dixon Technologies executed a joint venture agreement with Vivo Mobile India to incorporate a joint venture company in India for manufacturing electronic devices, including smartphones, as an OEM.

Voluntary Recall of Semalix Batches

Torrent Pharmaceuticals announced a voluntary recall as a precautionary measure for select batches of Semalix injection disposable pens used for the treatment of diabetes.

The Tamil Nadu government signed an MoU with Vikram Solar to establish a Battery Energy Storage Systems manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs 15,037 crore at Tirunelveli.

Secures Rs 628 Crore Order

Solex Energy secured a new solar module supply order worth Rs 628 crore, strengthening its order book with the latest project award.

DEE Development Engineers

DEE Development Engineers raised Rs 300 crore through the preferential allotment of equity shares to institutional and strategic investors.

GAIL

LNG Station Agreement Signed

Container Corporation of India entered into an agreement with GAIL (India) to establish a Liquefied Natural Gas dispensing station at CONCOR’s Inland Container Depot in Khodiyar, Ahmedabad.

Battery Recycling Partnership

Ather Energy partnered with battery recycling firm LICO Materials for recycling end-of-life lithium-ion batteries.

Havells India announced a strategic collaboration with Norway-based Pixii AS to develop and introduce advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems for the Indian market.
