The two new tiers form part of a three-level Visa Infinite portfolio that also includes the existing Visa Infinite offering. Visa Infinite Private will be an invitation-only proposition aimed at ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
The expansion comes as the number of Indians earning more than ₹10 lakh a year has increased from 69 lakh to 1.3 crore in recent years, according to Visa’s India’s Affluent Economy 2025-2026 whitepaper.
The study also found that seven in 10 affluent consumers seek bespoke and exclusive offerings.
Visa said the three tiers will have different levels of benefits and access. Visa Infinite will focus on everyday, travel and lifestyle benefits, while Infinite Privilege will offer broader access and curated experiences. Infinite Private will target the top end of the affluent segment with bespoke services and exclusive access.
The expanded portfolio also includes programmes linked to travel, dining, sport and wellness, as Visa seeks to align premium card propositions with changing spending patterns among affluent consumers.
The move comes as the premium card market becomes segmented, with banks and payment networks targeting customers based on spending capacity and demand for travel, lifestyle and other premium services.Visa said the refreshed portfolio is aimed at India’s affluent segments, which are increasingly spread beyond the country’s major metropolitan centres.
