Dodla Dairy Q1 net profit slips, margins contract to 5.4%

Dodla Dairy reported its first quarter earnings on Saturday, July 25.

Its net profit declined 35.6% to ₹41 crore in the first quarter from 63 crore last year.

Its revenue came in at ₹1,198 crore, up 19% from the previous year’s ₹1,007 crore.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) declined 21.4% to ₹65 crore from ₹82.6 crore in the first quarter last fiscal.

Its margins contracted sharply to 5.4% from 8.2% in the year-ago period.

In the previous quarter, the Hyderabad-based dairy company’s net profit had declined 2.3% to ₹55.4 crore from ₹56.7 crore in the previous year. Its revenue was down 4.6% at ₹845 crore from ₹807.8 crore.

The company’s EBITDA in the March quarter had declined 56.5% to ₹29 crore from ₹66.6 crore in the year prior and its margins had contracted to 3.4% from 8.2% in the year-ago period.

The company had also recommended a final dividend of ₹5 each per equity share of face value ₹10 each for the financial year 2026.

Dodla Dairy shares ended the previous session 3.2% up at ₹1,070 apiece. The stock has fallen 13.2% this year, so far.
