Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd has signed a term sheet to acquire 100% of the equity share capital of Winwin Speciality Insulators Ltd (WSIL) at an enterprise value of approximately ₹315 crore, the company said on Tuesday.
The proposed transaction, subject to due diligence, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, is expected to be completed within three months.
WSIL manufactures high-voltage ceramic and polymeric insulators from its facility at the Atchutapuram Special Economic Zone near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
The plant has an installed capacity of about 18,000 metric tonnes per annum for ceramic insulators and can manufacture products rated up to 1,200 kV. It also produces polymeric insulators up to 400 kV.
The acquisition will add insulator manufacturing to Quality Power’s portfolio of power transmission equipment at a time when investments in transmission networks, substations, HVDC corridors and renewable energy evacuation infrastructure are increasing.
The transaction follows Quality Power’s acquisitions of Mehru Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Sukrut Electric Company in 2025 as the company expands its presence across the power transmission equipment value chain.
Quality Power said the acquisition would provide additional manufacturing capabilities in the high-voltage insulator segment and expand its product offering for utility and transmission infrastructure projects.
Bharanidharan Pandyan, Joint Managing Director, Quality Power Electrical Equipments Limited, said, “Winwin Speciality Insulators brings together what cannot be built overnight: a high-voltage insulator manufacturing platform, global product qualifications, and a substantial industrial land parcel in one of India’s most strategic port-linked manufacturing corridors.”
He added, “Its automated systems and European-origin process technology provide a strong foundation on which to build a world-class insulator business.”
Shares of Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd ended 1.72% higher at ₹1,145 on the NSE on Tuesday.
