The New Fund Offer (NFO) will open on May 21 and close on June 4.
The scheme aims to generate long-term capital appreciation through investments in equity and equity-related securities of large-cap and mid-cap firms. According to the asset management company (AMC), the fund will maintain a minimum allocation of 35% each in large-cap and mid-cap stocks.
The AMC said the fund will follow an actively managed strategy combining bottom-up stock selection with analysis of broader economic and sectoral trends. The benchmark for the scheme will be the NIFTY Large Midcap 250 TRI.
The launch marks the 10th fund introduced by the AMC within 10 months of operations, as it continues to expand its product offerings in the mutual fund space.
Commenting on the launch, Madhu Lunawat, Founder, MD & CEO, The Wealth Company Mutual Fund, said the fund aims to identify businesses with scalable growth potential and consistent execution across market cycles.
Aparna Shanker, CIO – Equity, The Wealth Company Mutual Fund, said the large and mid-cap category offers exposure to both established companies and emerging businesses with long-term growth potential.
The AMC said the scheme’s investment framework will evaluate companies on parameters such as management capability, valuation, governance standards, earnings growth and execution. It added that the portfolio construction process would remain sector-agnostic to capture opportunities across different segments of the economy.
As with all mutual fund schemes, investments in the fund will be subject to market risks.
